Lawrence Chisom
"My name is Lawrence, and I'm with the Salvation Army. I was raised in an alcoholic family. When I had problems I ran to drugs and alcohol to solve them. Being a married man with children, being addicted to drugs, I couldn't cope with life, couldn't keep a steady job, and being evicted from every apartment that I've had. I found that there has to be something better.
The Salvation Army was my solution. My kids were my life, and when I was forced to leave them, I was devastated. That's what drugs and alcohol will do. I had to get my life back. I had to get my kids back and the Salvation Army gave me that opportunity. Now I'm an employee and I've been there 10 years."
